That seems about right. When do the Whelens get tested?
Past years have had tests of the Community Sirens on the 15th/16th of every second month (Jan/March/May etc) at somewhat random times. From what I've found, dates are published in local residents' calendars, but not online.

(UK) Buncefield Siren Test - Klaxon ES2

A video of the most recent test of Buncefield Oil Terminal's Klaxon ES2(S) siren. This is my local siren and is one I've recorded before, but the siren's been replaced by a newer one since I last filmed it and it now sounds a bit different in hi-lo (I might even say better!) I recorded it in March 2...

Re: UK Siren Map

A user on Discord (trainsarethebest_alt) has found two more Sullom Voe locations. (60.4601600, -1.2645854) (60.4625561, -1.2710563) I cannot check of both of these are 3T22’s by comparing other aerial images, but they do have the signature of the other units that were found earlier. First one is, 1...

Re: UK Siren Map

On the subject of XT22s, and some more positive news this time: I've found two more at Sullom Voe... One visible from Street View that I'm surprised wasn't picked up earlier - located at (60.459423, -1.270933). Shadow on imagery is very obviously siren-shaped, especially in comparison with the other...

Re: UK Siren Map

A fairly significant update - as far as I can tell, the "ASC I-Force" sirens at the Barrow South Morecambe Spirit terminal were actually FS 2T22/3T22s. This image from 2011 shows such a siren clearly on the left side of the photo... SMT XT22.jpg The siren's location matches up with where t...

Re: UK FS 2001-130 test!

Good day folks, Today at 4:30 PM, the piercing sound of a Federal Signal 2001 echoed across Carrington Business Park in Manchester. Turns out, it does so every Thursday! I assume, given the date of upload, you meant every Wednesday ? Posts on the local subreddit would certainly support that idea :l...

Re: UK Siren Map

Several new locations to add. One is a repeat of a location previously mentioned that was missed off the last round of additions. New/previously unreported 53.724900, -2.648928 - Klaxon ES1/2S, Evans Vanodine, Preston. 53.613318, -0.161644 - Klaxon ES1/3S, Tronox, Stallingborough. The A141s on site ...

Newton Aycliffe INEOS - 14 December 2023

A recording of the 50th weekly test of 2023 for Ineos' Newton Aycliffe sirens - the model of sirens is unknown, but it uses multiple 10-12 port sirens. It is one that has been filmed several times before, but I wasn't going to turn down the chance to film this one given I could! ghPdJNUBpb4 More to ...

Re: Solenis - Low Moor (UK) December 2023 - Klaxon ES2S

To be fair, there's a few videos out there - one of mine included - of an ES doing hi-lo and/or alert, with examples in Port Talbot and Grangemouth both recorded doing the former tone as well. One video does exist of the new Broadmoor siren doing Wail on its only recorded test (it's tested silently ...

Re: UK Siren Map

Ah my mistake, must've not been at the right angle. I was on the closest road I could access via StreetView. Atleast it's still there though. It is notoriously hard to see on street view, especially from Chaplains Hill. However, rest assured it is probably still there, and likely will be unti...
