Yep I check the site at least weekly, a longtime habit! The old sirens I couldn't really hear the closest siren inside over anything. I wonder if that particular siren had some dead drivers. The new system I can hear easily inside and when I go outside there's definitely a surprising bite to it cons...

All of the sirens in Wood River, Hartford, Roxana and South Roxana were all replaced a few months ago with ATI HPSS32 sirens. All of the cities mentioned here had Whelen Vortex and 4004 sirens previously. I have a couple clips of a test and a storm where they were set off. I don't know how long thes...

This isn't my video, but this is the first time I've heard the ATI's doing anything other than the chimes. The tone is actually perfect in my opinion, but still no wind up or wind down.

The older style Whelen WPS-4004 with a broken rotator finally got replaced with a Whelen WPS-2904. Here's the before and after pics.
