Re: University of Nebraska - Kearney

That indeed is a Sterling Model M. BTW it was found out that sirens like these are now called Model Ms, no longer M3s, M5s, M10s, K5s, etc.

How many amps can the generator run?
From what I can remember, it withstands about 500 amps at the very maximum. Theoretically, you can run a Cyclone or even a P-50 off of it.

Where is it gonna take place?
Clearly you misread the announcement. As it always has been and ever will be, it's held at the Tesomas Scout Camp in Rhinelander, WI.

Re: Pentwater, MI village siren rebuild - what make and model and approx. year

I removed the village siren back in April 2022 and have had it rewound (stator windings were burnt). It has been tested and I am now working on re-locating it to a new site approx. 2 blocks from the old building. I would like some help identifying the make and model and also the approx. year of man...

Re: SirenCon™ 2023 Official Information Sticky!

I want to bring my Model5B but I've no idea how we would even get it out of the car if I did bring it. It's probably about 400 lbs. Any ideas? If possible, you should rent a Penske truck with a winch in the back and ramp, or an automated lift. Frankie did this last year and the year before with no ...
