They might have cancelled so the sirens don't scare the public during the funeral procession.
That's my point. Responses like this aren't really that necessary.

I don't know the most about the funueral or if Boone County is connected but they went off just fine, which is where I was so I can't say wether or not Hamilton did.

Firefighters, Police, and EMA are all about public safety. By not blowing the sirens today EMA has caused a public safety nightmare. How do you notify all the public you will test them tomorrow or next week or don't test them till May and a tornado comes through and sirens don't work. Firefighter Gordon put his life on the line everyday for public safety I do not think he (or his family) would have minded the sirens going off in fact it would have been a hell of a tribute to him. Also think about this EMA spent 2.5 million dollars on a new (unfinished) system so the could set sirens off individually, as a group, as a quadrant, so if they wer smart they could have silienced the sirens on the route or better yet set the siren off as they pass them with the procession.

R.I.P. Firefighter Gordon you will be missed

Everything you have just said I agree with exactly. Real shame they didn't do that.

Did anybody else in Hamilton County hear a siren growl this morning a little after 10:30 am? I was getting ready to go to work and I could have sworn that I heard the T-128 on Harrison Ave and Filview Circle growl.

I don't know, but apparently the sirens went off last night. There was a tornado watch, and apparently a funnel in Burlington Kentucky. Almost a tornado.

Nope, nor did I see any sirens change position that I saw today. Sometimes, you may hear certain things that sound similar, like I remember hearing what sounded like a T-128 growl at 8 am about 3 years ago, but I couldn't find evidence of it.

It's possible that some of the sirens may have growled. I went by the T-128 at St Bart's church just outside of Finneytown today, and it was in a different position, looking like it may have growled.
