Mystery Siren

Thu May 02, 2024 12:43 am

I was traveling through Kansas a few months ago and happened to drive by this mystery siren. I’m not entirely sure what model and brand it is, so I thought I’d ask you guys! :) If anyone knows please tell because I’ve never seen a siren like it in person :’)

Back on the board again. What you’re looking at is in fact, a Darley STH-10. They have 10 or 12 port rotors (not sure), and have 10 horns i think. Usually they are white or bright red but this one appears to be faded red. Hope this answers your question!

Thank you so much 0zunth for answering my question! Ever since I found that siren I’ve been trying to figure out what kind of siren it even was lol! 😅 If you want a goldmine of sirens then drive through Kansas! I was surprised by how many old sirens they had there! It was a siren enthusiasts paradise! When I went through Russell, KS I found a Thunderbolt 1003! Very cool! Anyways thank you, really appreciate it! <3

I'm pretty sure they only came in 12 port, like FS's STH-10s did.

12-port only, because they use the Federal STH-10's core albeit flipped vertically to resemble a Model 5 core.
