Edwards Model 312?

Hello all.
I got what my friend says is some sort of Simplex rebrand off of ebay a few months ago.
I painted it red and adjusted the volume. The horn seems to be bent. It is very old, my friend says its from about the 1940's.
It is 115VAC 1 phase.
I will post pics later.
Does anyone have any further information on this?
This is the only model of these I have ever seen. I have seen similar, newer models, but not one like this. It originally was black, and had quite a few rust spots on it.
