CLM and Reliable Electric Sales and Service??

Fri Jul 05, 2024 7:44 pm

I am trying to track down any information about Reliable Electric Sales and Service Ltd out of Woodstock ON and/or CLM out of Scarborough ON.

Back in late May, I posted a photo in the "Mystery Sirens" forum. A couple of members replied that it looked like a CLM with someone getting quite specific sharing that it is a "Type 5223, a 5-horsepower 20/24 port siren". While I am sure that the poster would not give me poor information, the local fellow who did the actual restoration is sure that the siren is "Lincoln" model made by Reliable Electric Sales and Service as stated on an attached plate. It is unknown if the plate is from the manufacturer or a service call. As this is research for a museum artifact, I must confirm all information from as many sources as possible.

That is why I'm trying to track down any and all info about both Canadian Line Materials and/or Reliable Electric Sales and Service and the products they made. I figured that this would be the place to ask if anyone has (or knows where to look for) links to textbooks, old catalogues, anything really.

I will attach a copy of the manufacturer's plate that is bolted to the unit.
If I have posted this in the wrong forum, please advise and I will move the post.

Thank you so much for any assistance you can provide!
