Hey y'all. It's been a minute since I've posted anything on the forums, so I figured I'd share some videos with you all. For years I'm sure a lot of people here have probably wondered how the Model 1 stacks up against a Model 2. I have both models of sirens in my possession, so I made it happen. Turns out that while the Model 2 is louder than the Model 1, it's only by a little. The Model 1 is also spinning in reverse, so if it had its rotation corrected both probably would just about equal out. It really begs the question of why both sirens existed at the same time in the 20s. The Model 1 is a 1928 unit while the 2 was made in 1998, so this was kind of a grandpa vs grandson situation... For a siren that's just shy of 100 years old, Papa still can run that fade like a young buck.
